Black Stone Recovery – Terms of Service
1. Definitions
“Company” refers to Black Stone Recovery.
“Customer” refers to any individual or business requesting or using our services.
“Vehicle” refers to the motor vehicle (car, van, motorcycle, etc.) involved in the service.
“Services” refers to breakdown recovery, roadside assistance, vehicle transport, mobile tyre fitting, diagnostics, and any related services.
2. General
By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. The most current version will always be available on our website.
Verbal or written booking of services constitutes acceptance of these terms.
3. Services Provided
We offer (but are not limited to):
Vehicle Breakdown & Recovery
Accident Recovery
Roadside Assistance
Vehicle Transport (Local & Long Distance)
Mobile Tyres & Jump Starts
Motorcycle Transport
Classic & Prestige Car Transport
Auction & Fleet Collection
Police Impound Release Transport
Vehicle Disposal Transport
All services are subject to vehicle condition, location, weather, and availability of parts (if applicable).
4. Pricing & Payment
All pricing is subject to the distance, type of service, and time of day.
Prices quoted are valid for a reasonable time but subject to change without notice due to fuel surcharges, access issues, or additional labour.
Payment is required immediately upon service completion, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We accept cash, bank transfer, and card payments (if available).
A minimum call-out fee applies, even if the service cannot be completed due to customer fault or incomplete information.
5. Customer Responsibilities
The customer must provide accurate details regarding the vehicle, location, and required service.
The vehicle must be accessible and in a condition that allows for safe loading or service.
Customers must remove personal belongings before recovery or transport — we are not liable for lost or damaged items left in the vehicle.
The customer must notify us of any modifications, non-standard dimensions, or hazards associated with the vehicle.
6. Cancellation & Delays
Cancellations made after a driver has been dispatched will be subject to a minimum call-out charge.
If we are delayed due to circumstances beyond our control (traffic, weather, road closures), we will notify you as soon as possible.
We aim to provide estimated arrival times but cannot guarantee exact timings.
7. Liability & Insurance
All vehicles transported or recovered are covered by our Goods in Transit and Public Liability Insurance, subject to standard limits.
We are not liable for pre-existing damage, mechanical failure during or after service, or issues unrelated to the service provided.
In case of accident recovery, we are not liable for damage caused prior to our arrival or for insurance-related disputes.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the vehicle is properly insured, taxed, and roadworthy unless being recovered.
8. Storage
If a vehicle is stored at our facility, storage charges may apply after 24 hours unless agreed otherwise.
We reserve the right to release the vehicle only after full payment is received.
9. Complaints
Any issues must be reported to us in writing within 7 days of service.
We will investigate all complaints fairly and aim to respond within 14 days.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts.
